About 'Beauty With Substance'

Beauty With Substance is an Auckland beauty therapy and skincare boutique with extensive experience of the methodology and product created by Dr. Hauschka. Our practices blend the traditional with clinical, modern with ancient, spiritual with physical.

Company director and esthetician, Jose Kakebeeke, has thirty years experience in the beauty therapy industry. Since 1980, when she graduated from a beauty therapy school in her homeland of the Netherlands, Jose (pronounced Yo-say) has been exploring natural and effective skincare remedies.

It was the philosophy behind Dr. Hauschka that captured Jose's attention in 1987 and she worked hard to became a qualified Hauschka esthetician in 1988, studying at the home of the Hauschka remedies, the WALA complex in Southern Germany.

Since moving to New Zealand, Jose has risen to become the country's premier Dr. Hauschka esthetician and was appointed New Zealand-wide trainer of all Hauschka beauty therapists 1998. Ten years later she accepted the same prestigious position for Australian therapists and she now makes regular international trips: to Australia to teach and to Europe to convene and learn from her peers.

Jose has long practiced her art at her Ellerslie-based home treatment space and in 2010 founded the website and company Beauty With Substance to deliver her expertise to the world.
